At what point during pregnancy can they start to determine the sex of the baby?


I have a friend who has a CRAZY girlfriend that uses him and cheats on him. This girl is claiming she is preggers with his baby. I think she is lying and trying to get money out of him. She sent him a picture message of an ultra sound that looked like it was done in the 3rd trimester and said it was HER ultra sound and the baby was 10 weeks old and it was a boy. But I thought it was too early to determine the sex at such an early point in the pregnancy.

KBKeety 		i found out i was having a boy at 15 weeks, which is considered early...generally they cant tell until 20 weeks

KBKeety 		Sex organs aren't developed until 12 weeks. So unless she had her amniotic fluid tested or another such test, there is no way for her to know the sex at 10 weeks.

KBKeety 		Most if not all baby's have their gender determined at 20 weeks.

KBKeety 		The genitals aren't developed at week 10. 3rd trimester starts between week 12 and 13. To tell the sex they try around week 18 to 20. If she is preg then DNA test after baby is born will prove if he is the daddy. Good Luck!

KBKeety 		wow sounds like my bf's x gf.. every time he asks her if he can go along with her she makes reasons up like o they changed the app or she got the days wrong, once she sent him the picture and the baby clearly was a boy.3 days later she said its a girl, that the lady got it wrong,, now she is 7months and now its back 2 a boy.. i no her games she has a new man but think my bf has 2 support her while she dates others.. u dnt see all the drama i have with this chick..i no after 3 and a half months u sld b able 2 see the sex

KBKeety 		i had a scan at 13 weeks n asked if i could find out the gender they said it was way to early and that they can normally tell around 20 weeks, i found out the gender at 19weeks 6 days.
