Can you take a pregnancy test and it come out negative after your period is missed?


I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative that night then I woke up and took another one the next morning with first morning urine and it came out negative... Im now 4-5 days late (from a 31 day cycle) on my period and we are Trying for a baby.. I have no symptoms besides a heavy breast feeling and nausea but not throwing up. Is it too early to test still?

MDsweetie 		It is possible. I would advise you to take one test per week until you either get your period, or get a positive.

MDsweetie 		it all depends on the amount of hormone in your body. try another test in a week if you are still late. that will most likely give you the definite answer. Good luck!

MDsweetie 		Yes it can.. Keep checking every couple or days, I was over a week late when I took my first test and it said negative then a few days later it was positive

MDsweetie 		many people get a negitive even doh they are pregnant

my friend did get a positive on a home pregnancy test til she was 10 weeks gone

go to docs they can do a blood test that is more accurate
