Are you pregnant & going to start wearing a mask in public given the new swine flu recommendations?


I live in Australia & swine flu is still spreading here. They've said on the newes for pregnant women to wear masks when out in public amid latest reports that swine flu causes miscarriage at all stages of pregnancy. Do you think or know if its a "real" danger or just another over-reaction??? Would you or are you going to wear a mask out in public from now on? I'm currently 16wks.

MDsweetie 		oh my gosh, this question has really scared me! i'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and didn't realise it could cause miscarraige. i'm in the uk, i will be looking to see what answers you get!

MDsweetie 		As soon as the masks get damp they're useless anyway.
Its just a massive over reaction, it is the same as regular flu, and people get that every year. People die from that every year and the news never makes a big deal over it.
Just ignore the hype, everything is fine, as my doctor was telling me last week, millions of people get over swine flu without the need to use tami-flu and most people don't know they even have it.
