Can birth control cause symptoms that are like symptoms of pregnancy?


I've been on the pill for two weeks. I've experienced nausea, slight spotting, breast tenderness, and now I have a cold...and isn't a symptom of pregnancy getting feelings like the flu? Only it isn't that bad.

MDsweetie 		The cold is probably nothing to do with the pill, you just have a cold same as I do right now and millions of other people.

The other symptoms are normal side effects of the artificial hormones that the pill contains. Your body is adjusting to these hormones. The leaflet that comes with the pack should explain this.
